Odd Soul (Maybe Bomb's "Daddy Don't Belong" Remix) by Maybe Bomb
One of my loyal Twitter followers posted a link to the Maybe Bomb's "Daddy Don't Belong" remix for me to check out. It's nothing like the remixes that were posted on Friday - and that's cool.
What does this mix bring to mind when you're listening to it? For me, it's like I could be listening to MuteMath's Odd Soul in a dark cave or cloud where things seem desperate or far off. The sound is ominous. The first time I listened, I was waiting for the "hit" or "break" to happen - the point in the track where the instrumentals went full throttle and loud, but as you listen, you'll notice that doesn't happen. The strange beeping throughout the track adds to the ominous feeling.
I love it! But I'm also the MuteMath fan :) What do you think?

ReplyDeleteI love this mix. It's understated and I like that it brings in the "Da da da" background vocals more often ... it's really well done.
